Seven News get mobbed

Drunk fans descended on a television reporter, last night who were in a pack of about four or five.

Channel Seven reporter, Ben Davis was at the center of the attack and received cuts and bruises as the taunts started to test his patients and his anger.

"I don't come to your work and do this" he said to the youths off camera, which turned out to not be the wisest of decisions. During three separate live crosses to channel seven the youths were constantly in the back ground, causing mayhem and stirring the pot.At one point one of them was trying to stick his tongue in his ear.

I doubt anyone will come forward and admit ot knowing any one of the youth because of there sour and ill mannered behavior.

This could however beeen coming to anyone at seven news after they unlawfully(apparently) obtained players medical records and tried to shame the players. The players however won out and seven news had a credibility dive, trying to get too big for there boots. "They aren't the anti-doping authority" said Joshua Meyers. SNTH

GOOD BYE MR. PREMIER

Premier Peter Beatie of Queensland handed in the towel today, ending months of speculations on whether or not he could handle the pressures of the top job.

"It's now time: It's time for renewal," he said.

His resignation will make it possible for others within the LAbor PArtyy such as: Anna Bligh to beome the first female premier since Carmen Lawrence in Western Australia.
After the Premier had denied the possiblity of quiting, saying thet he was not at a decision, but today over turned that testimate.

His wife Heather, said he was "exhausted" and i guess he was after todays decision.

A new Premier will be elected on Wednesday.

Equine influenza was on the board today as the Premier of Victoria announced additional guards to complement the police who are desperately helping to combat the equine influenza outbreak.

“We will employ additional security guards who will work and assist police and DPI to ensure we have 24/7 protection on the 28 river crossings into Victoria,” Mr Brumby said.“We want to make sure we safeguard the industry fully and properly right throughout the spring carnival period.”
The premiere announced the guards will stay at the state borders "for as long as it takes" no doubt to protect the already diminished stature of the spring racing carnival 2007. The premiere was at Flemington race track as he announced the deployment, this was to officially open the track after its ten month overhaul, in which a new track was laid.

I wonder how good the security will be? Because i sure am a punter and hope i will be able to do so, i don't like having my horses sick, especially the ones I'm going to bet on.
The Melbourne Cup- Australia's glory day.

The Eagles are falling

Ben Cousins did his hamstring as he watched his team go down by three points, at AAMI stadium last night. The Port Adelaide Power had done enough to win the qualifying and this puts there next match, at there home ground in the next couple of weeks.

The eagles though have there work cut out for them as Ben Cousins will no doubt be out of the side for the Eagles next match. The earliest estimates put Cousins out for at least the next couple of weeks with the pulled hammy.

Chris Judd, will have to carry the team by himself as he did for much of the season without, the then suspended Cousins who is such a key player. John Worsfold will have to pull something out of his hat for their next match and hope it works because Western Australia is counting on it.

Today's Stop Stories

THe CHASER GET ARRESTED by Joshua Meyers

Well we have all heard about it, the Chasers was on Everything went as far as they could go, and that just happened to be APEC, the security officers had their work cut out for them as they apprehended the suspected terrorists trying to get in to see George W. Bush.

After breaching two APEC security checkpoints they were through the barricades and no one suspected anything, until Bin Laden's look alike was arrested. There is some footage from The Chasers War on Everything on wednesday night when they premiered there Pre-APEC antics.

I would regard them as very funny, and i would say that APEC security was very poor and if the security officers and th police were doing their job they would have noticed the official APEC badges that the Chasers team were wearing said things like 'INSECURITY' and 'JOKE' to imply that they were infact doing a prank and the security officers should have noticed something.

But now the appropriate question seems to be, 'what charge' there isn't really a APEC disruption charge or offence that can be punished however there are conduct and security charges, but i don't think they will stick.

SO WHAT CHARGE DO YOU FEEL IS APPROPRIATE, given that there was indeed a notice and a response to the Chasers War on Everything to not pull any stunts and disrupt APEC.
BUT WHAT HAPPENED?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I would recognise this as a massive joke as many other people and not as a crime.
A crime in my view is something in which teh PRime Minister refuses to go on Rove Live and answer some silly questions although i should mention he did flick his switch which was rather entertaining. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WATCHING THE PRE_APEC STUFF, see below.
